Junction West RV Park offers a superior location, close to the interchange of Interstate 70 and Highways 6 and 50 on the western edge of Grand Junction. Several Colorado State Parks, the Visitors Center, and Colorado National Monument are all close by. At about 4600’ elevation, Grand Junction is 250 miles west of Denver via Interstate-70; and a comparable 250 miles southwesterly from Salt Lake City. Junction West is an ideal home base for exploring Grand Junction, Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. |
Driving Directions From Denver and the East - Interstate 70 to exit #26 (22 Road). Turn RIGHT on Highway 6 & 50 toward Fruita. Go 1/4 mile and turn right on 22 Road. We are ½ mile north on 22 Road on the left. The park is located at the corner of 22 Road and H Road. From Utah and the West - Interstate 70 to exit #26 (22 Road). Turn LEFT on Highway 6 & 50, under the interstate, toward Fruita. Go 1/4 mile and turn right on 22 Road. We are ½ mile north on 22 Road on the left. The park is located at the corner of 22 Road and H Road. During the summer the Grand Valley is sunny, temperate, dry, low humidity. “Protected by the plateaus and mesas that surround it, the Valley is kept lush and green by the Colorado River. . .” [Source: Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce] In the winter daytime temperatures are usually in the 30s and 40s with plenty of sunshine. Snowfall is minimal in the valley, but snow play is easily accessible in the surrounding mountain regions. Nighttime temperatures are frequently below freezing. |
